๐ต Arizona Cardinals
- Marvin Harrison Jr. disappeared from the passing game, finishing with just one target and zero receptions.
๐ Atlanta Falcons
- Cooper Rush was benched after three turnovers, with Jack Strand replacing him. Michael Penix Jr. is nearing his return and could play as early as Thursday, while Atlanta reportedly has no plans to release Tua Tagovailoa. (Ian Rapoport; Adam Schefter)
๐ฆโโฌ Baltimore Ravens
- Rashod Bateman capitalized on Zay Flowers' absence, drawing nine targets and catching seven for 88 yards and a touchdown. (Ian Rapoport; Rotoworld)
๐ป Chicago Bears
- Caleb Williams suffered a hamstring injury and was replaced by Tyson Bagent. Williams was carted to the locker room but later walked with only a slight limp. He is scheduled for imaging Monday. (Adam Schefter; Adam Jahns)
- Kalif Raymond again emerged as a major part of Chicago's passing game, leading the Bears in targets, receptions and receiving yards. Luther Burden still drew seven targets, but Raymond's continued involvement remains an obstacle for both Burden and Colston Loveland.
- D'Andre Swift lost a fumble at the goal line. There was no evidence that the mistake cost him his role afterward, but it's worth noting given where the opportunity occurred.
๐
Cincinnati Bengals
- Joe Burrow made it through Week 2 despite his back designation, while Ja'Marr Chase commanded nine targets and scored twice.
๐ค Cleveland Browns
- Cleveland entered Week 2 prepared to reassess its quarterback situation, potentially opening the door for Shedeur Sanders. Deshaun Watson responded with 238 yards and two touchdowns in the win. (Ian Rapoport)
- Quinshon Judkins handled 17 touches, including five receptions, while KC Concepcion caught all six of his targets. Both continue to show developing opportunity despite modest yardage totals.
- Denzel Boston drew seven targets, catching five for 95 yards and a touchdown. The seven targets make this more than just a big-play performance and put his involvement on the Week 3 radar.
๐๏ธ Denver Broncos
- R.J. Harvey was inactive with a hamstring injury before J.K. Dobbins suffered a hamstring injury of his own. Sean Payton called it a "little" hamstring injury but said Dobbins was frustrated. No definitive Week 3 status has been established. (Adam Schefter; Zac Stevens)
- Jonah Coleman also went to the medical tent but returned. His health becomes particularly important with Harvey already sidelined and Dobbins now dealing with his own hamstring issue.
๐ Houston Texans
- We got our first look at where the targets could go without Nico Collins: Dalton Schultz exploded for 14 targets and 12 catches, while Xavier Hutchinson drew another nine targets. That's a significant concentration of Houston's vacated opportunity.
๐ Indianapolis Colts
- Keenan Allen is facing a suspension of at least three games stemming from his August impaired-driving arrest, with the possibility of a longer punishment. (Adam Schefter)
๐ Jacksonville Jaguars
- Parker Washington again led Jacksonville's passing game, catching eight of 12 targets for 98 yards. Repeatedly leading this offense in targets is becoming a developing role trend rather than an isolated performance.
- Rookie Bhayshul Tuten handled 13 carries and drew two targets, giving us a meaningful workload signal to monitor heading into Week 3.
โ ๏ธ Las Vegas Raiders
- Brock Bowers was inactive with his knee injury, but Klint Kubiak said he was "very close" to playing. That's encouraging for Week 3, although his return is not yet guaranteed. (Ian Rapoport; Jesse Merrick)
- Ashton Jeanty had his previously injured right ankle evaluated after limping off. He was ultimately cleared and returned to the game. (Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT)
- Tre Tucker drew seven targets for 119 yards and a touchdown with Bowers unavailable. The opportunity is worth monitoring before assuming it carries over once Bowers returns.
โก Los Angeles Chargers
- Ladd McConkey played through a cracked rib with protective padding. His recovery progressed faster than expected during the week, and Los Angeles didn't elevate another receiver. (Ian Rapoport; Adam Schefter)
- David Njoku was carted off and ruled OUT with a knee injury. No diagnosis, timetable or clear receiving beneficiary had been established by the end of the reporting window.
- Omarion Hampton handled 23 carries and two receptions, clearly operating with workhorse volume. He did lose a costly fumble, but there was no evidence yet that it will affect his role.
- Charlie Kolar suffered a forearm injury and was questionable to return. His eventual return status was not established.
๐ New England Patriots
- TreVeyon Henderson received 16 carries compared with only six for Rhamondre Stevenson, who also lost a fumble. That's a potentially significant backfield development coming out of Week 2.
- Rookie TE Eli Raridon was ruled OUT with a thigh injury, leaving Hunter Henry and Cameron Latu as New England's remaining available tight ends.
- Starting RG Mike Onwenu suffered a broken right ankle, a significant offensive-line injury that could affect New England's blocking going forward. (Mike Reiss)
โ๏ธ New York Jets
- Adonai Mitchell led the Jets with 12 targets, catching six for 63 yards. Regardless of the final yardage, that level of opportunity deserves our attention heading into Week 3.
- Mason Taylor suffered a thumb injury and was questionable to return. His eventual return status was not established.
๐ฆ
Philadelphia Eagles
- Saquon Barkley suffered a stinger, returned for the second half and is scheduled for an MRI. Barkley said afterward that he was "alright," but more should be known this week. (Tim McManus; Zach Berman)
- Dallas Goedert suffered a right-knee injury and was questionable to return. No postgame diagnosis or definitive return status was established.
- Philadelphia moved Cam Jurgens to guard and started Drew Kendall at center, a notable offensive-line configuration change. (Cameron Wolfe; Ian Rapoport)
๐ก Pittsburgh Steelers
- Rico Dowdle injured his toe, returned, aggravated it and was ultimately ruled OUT. The full progression makes his Week 3 status worth monitoring closely.
- Germie Bernard drew eight targets, nearly matching DK Metcalf's nine. Metcalf finished with only four catches for 27 yards, making Bernard's volume an interesting secondary-receiver development.
๐ดโโ ๏ธ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Bucky Irving out-touched Kenneth Gainwell 19โ5, giving us a pretty clear look at Tampa Bay's early backfield hierarchy.
- Jalen McMillan was active but wasn't expected to immediately resume a full-time role coming off his knee injury. His actual workload remains more important than simply being active.
- Chris Godwin drew only three targets. There's not enough evidence yet to call it a role reduction, but the target collapse belongs on the Week 3 watch list.
๐พ Carolina Panthers
- Jonathon Brooks aggravated the same groin injury that bothered him during training camp. He's considered day-to-day. (Joseph Person)
โ๏ธ New Orleans Saints
- So much for the anticipated split: Alvin Kamara led Travis Etienne 10โ2 in touches at halftime and finished with 14 touches. That's our clearest indication yet of how New Orleans currently views this backfield. (Nick Underhill)
- Chris Olave played through his hamstring issue and commanded 10 targets, catching eight for 86 yards and a touchdown. (Adam Schefter)
๐ฃ Minnesota Vikings
- Aaron Jones briefly exited with a knee issue but returned and immediately maintained his workhorse role, finishing with 23 carries. That's an encouraging usage signal after the injury scare.
- Kyler Murray is reportedly on track to clear concussion protocol for Week 3 after Carson Wentz started in his absence. (Adam Schefter; Ian Rapoport)
๐ Los Angeles Rams
- Puka Nacua continues to trend toward potentially missing Monday night because of his hip/groin issue and is expected to be a pregame decision. Davante Adams gets a significant boost if Nacua can't go, while the Rams could also lean more heavily on 12- and 13-personnel. (Adam Schefter; Dwain McFarland)
๐ San Francisco 49ers
- Demarcus Robinson was carted off with an ankle injury and ruled OUT. Nick Wagoner reported that it appeared to be a high-ankle sprain, although that remains suspected severity rather than a confirmed diagnosis. (Matt Barrows; Nick Wagoner)
- Mike Evans also left with a hip injury, but the later update was considerably more encouraging, with Nick Wagoner reporting that it did not appear serious. (Adam Schefter; Nick Wagoner)
๐ Seattle Seahawks
- Jadarian Price suffered a chest injury and was ruled OUT, but postgame X-rays were negative. (John Boyle)
- Sam Darnold is now ahead of schedule in his recovery from the glute injury. Mike Macdonald said Darnold could practice this coming week after his timetable shifted substantially. (Curtis Crabtree)
๐ง Green Bay Packers
- Jayden Reed was stretchered off and ruled OUT with a neck injury. Green Bay reported that Reed had feeling and movement in all extremities and would remain hospitalized overnight for additional testing and observation. (Green Bay Packers; Adam Schefter)
- Kaleb Johnson led Green Bay with eight carries, while Matt LaFleur said the rookie had earned offensive opportunities. That's a backfield development worth following closely. (Zach Kruse)
- Christian Watson commanded 11 targets, easily making the volume more notable than his four-catch, 41-yard final line.
- Starting RT Zach Bako-Bewele was ruled OUT with a knee injury after an air cast was applied, creating another offensive-line situation worth monitoring. (Ian Rapoport)
๐ช Washington Commanders
- Jayden Daniels was carted off and ruled OUT with a left-elbow injuryโthe same elbow he injured last season. No official diagnosis, treatment plan or recovery timeline has been established. (Adam Schefter; Ian Rapoport)
- Medical analysts Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT and Brian Sutterer, MD independently raised concern about recurrent instability and the possibility of surgery, with Sutterer discussing a potential four-to-six-month minimum recovery if surgery is ultimately required. That is independent medical analysisโnot a Commanders diagnosis, treatment decision or established timetable.
