🐏 Los Angeles Rams
- Puka Nacua missed Friday’s practice with a hip injury. Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT, believes it could be compensation connected to his previous groin/hip-flexor issue, but this is medical interpretation—not a confirmed diagnosis.
- If Nacua cannot play, Davante Adams would move into the WR1 range for fantasy purposes.
- Aaron Donald plans to make his 2026 debut Monday night against the Giants. (Adam Schefter / Ian Rapoport)
🐂 Houston Texans
- Nico Collins has been ruled OUT against Cincinnati after suffering a Grade 1 hamstring injury during Wednesday’s practice. (Aaron Wilson / Adam Schefter)
- Kayshon Boutte is prepared to step in for Collins. His route share should increase after Houston deliberately eased him into the offense during Week 1, while Dalton Schultz also carries increased target appeal against Cincinnati.
🐦⬛ Baltimore Ravens
- Zay Flowers is doubtful against New Orleans. Flowers did very little during the media-access portion of Friday’s practice, mostly observing and walking with the athletic trainer. (Jeff Zrebiec)
- Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT, believes Flowers might have been physically capable of playing but Baltimore is prioritizing reducing reinjury risk and preventing a season-long problem. This is medical interpretation.
- LaJohntay Wester could be asked to reproduce portions of Flowers’ role, while Devontez Walker and Rashod Bateman remain candidates for increased outside-receiver opportunities. (Ryan Mink)
☠️ Las Vegas Raiders
- Brock Bowers returned to practice Friday but is doubtful against the Chargers. Klint Kubiak reportedly expects Bowers to return in Week 3. (Sam Warren / Ian Rapoport)
- Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT, reduced his estimated probability of Bowers playing this week from 60% to 15% following the consecutive practice absences.
- Fernando Mendoza continues to closely mirror Kirk Cousins’ preparation, repeating calls, mock huddles and progressions from the sideline as part of his development. Mendoza said he even stopped himself from copying Cousins’ footwork and throws during the opener so he wouldn’t tip information to the opponent. (The Athletic)
⚡ Los Angeles Chargers
- Ladd McConkey returned to practice Friday and is QUESTIONABLE against Las Vegas. (Ian Rapoport)
- Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT, said route running and receiving production are generally minimally affected by rib bruising without a fracture. Contact tolerance is the primary concern, and while McConkey could play with pain management, his response to contact is unpredictable.
🟣 Minnesota Vikings
- Kyler Murray has been ruled OUT. Carson Wentz will start against Chicago, and Kevin O’Connell expects Murray to clear concussion protocol next week.
- Jauan Jennings is OUT for personal reasons.
🍑 Atlanta Falcons
- Michael Penix Jr. has been ruled OUT against Carolina, while Tua Tagovailoa is doubtful. Cooper Rush will start, with Jack Strand serving as Atlanta’s backup. (Adam Schefter / Ian Rapoport)
🏈 New England Patriots
- TreVeyon Henderson is off the injury report and will make his season debut against Pittsburgh.
🐅 Cincinnati Bengals
- Joe Burrow is officially QUESTIONABLE because of his back injury, but Burrow has said he will play against Houston.
🏔️ Denver Broncos
- RJ Harvey is QUESTIONABLE against Jacksonville because of his hamstring injury.
- Sean Payton said Jaylen Waddle “is going to get his touches,” signaling an intention to keep the receiver actively involved. (Mike Klis)
🌉 San Francisco 49ers
- Kaelon Black is QUESTIONABLE against Miami because of his groin injury.
🐆 Jacksonville Jaguars
- Brian Thomas Jr. is off the injury report and will play against Denver despite his shoulder issue.
- Meyers will play in Week 2 despite a thumb injury.
🟡 Pittsburgh Steelers
- Michael Pittman Jr. is QUESTIONABLE against New England after missing three consecutive practices with a foot injury.
🐎 Indianapolis Colts
- Alec Pierce is off the injury report and available for Week 2 despite his heel issue.
🐦 Arizona Cardinals
- Trey McBride is off the injury report and will play against Seattle despite his previous back/rest designation.
- Mike LaFleur said Arizona will continue rotating its running backs and declined to project Jeremiyah Love’s carry total, emphasizing the length of the season. (Cardschatter)
- Love said he was mindful of his ankle during Week 1 but wasn’t limited and is ready to face Seattle. (Bo Brack)
🐬 Miami Dolphins
- Bobby Slowik called extending plays Malik Willis’ “superpower,” but Miami is working with him to balance improvisation with getting the ball out quickly when situations require it. (Marcel Louis-Jacques)
🐾 Carolina Panthers
- Jalen Coker is off the injury report and will play despite his previous ankle issue.
- Chicago concentrated coverage on Tetairoa McMillan in Week 1, creating opportunities for Coker. Analyst interpretation: if defenses begin respecting Coker’s production, McMillan could receive more favorable coverage and produce larger games. (Joseph Person)
✈️ New York Jets
- Garrett Wilson has received at least seven targets in each of his past seven games, including three games with double-digit targets.
- Omar Cooper Jr. has been ruled OUT. (Zack Blatt)
🌊 Seattle Seahawks
- Sam Darnold is progressing, but Mike Macdonald did not establish whether he will return next week or the following week.
- Zach Charbonnet is approaching a return to practice, although Seattle has not finalized a date. (Mike Macdonald)
- Seattle said rookie Jadarian Price earned additional opportunities but is still being brought along cautiously after missing the preseason and making his NFL debut on a major stage. (Brian Fleury)
🐻 Chicago Bears
- D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai are active for Week 2.
⚜️ New Orleans Saints
- Alvin Kamara will play in Week 2. Kellen Moore said Kamara will have “a really valuable role” this week.
- Chris Olave is QUESTIONABLE because of his hamstring injury.
🪖 Washington Commanders
- Chig Okonkwo has been ruled OUT because of his hamstring injury.
🏴☠️ Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Jalen McMillan is QUESTIONABLE for Week 2 because of his knee injury.
🦬 Buffalo Bills
- D.J. Moore’s shoulder injury is not considered serious. He is day-to-day and has a chance to face the Chargers next week, although his availability is not guaranteed. (Adam Schefter)
- James Cook completely dominated the Buffalo backfield, handling every recorded backfield opportunity, a 68% route share and 21 carries for 135 yards. He also received all five rushing attempts inside the 10, including both attempts inside the five.
- Frank Gore Jr. and Ray Davis each played eight snaps without recording a carry or target. Both again out-snapped Cook during the two-minute drill.
- Before Moore exited, Dalton Kincaid led Buffalo’s primary pass catchers with a 71% route share. After the injury, Keon Coleman’s route share rose to 81%, while Josh Palmer increased from 24% to 62%.
- Kincaid continues to put up elite per-route numbers: 71% route share, 29.6% target rate per route, 3.52 yards per route and a 10.8-yard average depth of target. That’s now two consecutive weeks of outstanding per-route production.
- Keon Coleman ran a route on 74% of dropbacks and caught six passes for 63 yards. He would be a viable streamer against the Chargers if Moore misses time.
- Khalil Shakir posted a 55% route share and 28.6% target rate per route. He ran three routes in two-receiver sets after running none in Week 1, but his playing time remains too limited for a confident waiver addition.
🦁 Detroit Lions
- Jahmyr Gibbs absolutely dominated Detroit’s backfield usage, handling a 92% opportunity share, 16 carries, six receptions and a 70% route share. He also received every rushing attempt inside the 10 and played all 10 two-minute snaps.
- Sione Vaki remained at an 8% opportunity share, but his route participation dropped from 44% to 16%. Detroit’s true injury replacement for Gibbs remains uncertain between Vaki and Saylors.
- Amon-Ra St. Brown ran a route on 98% of dropbacks, drew targets on 27.9% of his routes and produced 3.30 yards per route. His average depth of target jumped from 5.2 yards to 11.9 yards.
- Jameson Williams maintained a 95.5% route share and a 12.3-yard average depth of target, with 27 of his 42 routes coming at X. His downfield role remains intact, though it will naturally produce volatile weekly results.
- Sam LaPorta ran a route on 91% of dropbacks with a 17.5% target rate per route. His average depth of target fell from 5.7 yards to 3.4, supporting a lower-to-middle TE1 outlook.
- Isaac TeSlaa posted a 77% route share for the second consecutive week and drew five targets at a 16-yard average depth. Detroit used at least three receivers on 33 of 44 dropbacks, but TeSlaa remains more of a watch-list player unless an injury creates a clearer opportunity.
